Celtic Religious Jewelry
The title of this article is Celtic religious jewelry. The first thing we'll do is look at what religious jewelry is, then we'll talk about Celtic crosses. At the end we'll see if Celtic Religious jewelry makes sense and if they really go together.
Religious jewelry is vast genre of any type of jewelry that has a religious meaning. This is beyond Christian jewelry. Religious jewelry can be Jewish jewelry, Hindu jewelry, cross jewelry, or any jewelry with any type of religious theme.
By that definition of religious jewelry you can see why it is so vast and perhaps one of the biggest specialty or themed jewelry genres.
Celtic crosses come from the Celtic jewelry genre. In the capsule of pictures there is a small sample of how vast Celtic crosses are. They are just like Christian crosses with added Celtic symbolism. They are, in fact, Christian crosses as well, just with much more symbolism than your typical cross.
Some of the symbols added to these Celtic crosses are the Celtic trinity knot which is a three cornered Celtic knot that represents the Holy Trinity. The Celtic circle at the intersection of the cross is a Celtic symbol for eternity. The Celtic weaves and other knots typically represent eternity, no beginning or end.
One of the great things about Celtic crosses is that they belong to or fit into many genres of jewelry like the Celtic jewelry genre, the cross jewelry category, the Christian jewelry genre and the religious jewelry genre. That's how special the Celtic crosses are.
If cross jewelry logically fits under religious jewelry and I think we can all agree on that then it is safe to say the Celtic crosses fits just as well under religious jewelry.
